Iron Man 2: Whiplash unveiled in new Marvel comic

I really hope this is close to the final look of Whiplash in the upcoming Iron Man 2, this suit looks a million times better than the half gladiator/ He-Man suit that was seen in early promo shots

"Next year's Iron Man has yet another Whiplash, this time called Ivan Vanko (a name that hasn't previously existed in the comics) and this time taking elements of another comic book villain, the red-armoured, electrically-charged Crimson Dynamo.

And in an attempt to dovetail the movie's version of the character with comic book canon, a new Iron Man vs Whiplash title is released by Marvel this week. It has originally been due for release at the start of November, as I reported earlier but is now out on December 3.

Iron Man vs Whiplash issue 1 features the "all-new, all-different" Whiplash - who, like the Mickey Rourke film version, has the real name of Ivan Vanko"
